[藝術作品] 晨光 - 製作紀錄

說明: 晨光,溫柔地劃破夜幕,喚醒詩人的思緒,暖和生命的血液。
為了詮釋此意象,《晨光》採取輕快且溫和的動作,線性的肢體線條外加幾何的”圓”形成構圖的穩定。人物喜樂地望著遠方,雙足升浮,軀體頃往象徵希望的前方。
1.造型定位與構圖
"把問題定義清楚,就等於解決了一半"

這次的模特兒動態搭配物件為題,由於肢體構圖很簡潔,因此構圖計畫時以強調三條線為主軸;由雙足與軀幹組成的兩條軸線,以及穩定構圖的圓線。只要是會讓這三條線的力量衰減的;都是讓美感不純粹的雜質。排除了各種構圖後,最後定案的是以青銅人體搭配金亮細銅圈的方案。
2. 泥塑

這次因為作品較大,泥塑的骨架是以木角材作主支撐,附上粗鐵絲與麻繩輔助。製作時專注在觀察模特兒雙腿肌肉將力量由地面向上傳遞產生的升浮感,以及這樣的升浮力要如何在上半身合宜地扭轉、散發。神情的表達上,以往我會刻意避扭曲幅度較大的五官(代有深度的憂鬱臉龐只需眉間琢磨,但是笑臉必須全臉牽動,如果只有嘴角動就只是心理學上的社交笑容),帶有情緒的臉往往是畫龍點睛的一筆,全臉部肌肉牽動的表情會反映出一個人長期的心理狀態,如果不是依照實際人物的表情塑造,常會做出做作或過於匠氣的顏面。不過這次因為模特兒一直展現自信的笑容,所以我也連帶做入作品中。另一 個小細節是足部的血管,女性塑像我常會為了表達人物的柔美刻意不刻畫血管這樣的細節,然而本次體態因為足部剛好是整體力道的收尾處,所以為了加強身體支撐的力道而將浮出的血管簡化描寫了一下。
3. 翻模-修補
先前有介紹翻模大致的程序,這次就不再贅述了,僅以圖像做個紀錄,跟上次介紹稍微不同的是,這次考慮到矽膠翻模難易度我將雙手切開另翻。

修補的部分,由於氣泡或者阻塞而沒翻到的部位,則重翻局部出來拼接,這比花時間填補雕琢要快得多。
4. 上色

這次上色方面有試著加上黃銅的金色。一般來說仿銅的上色是按照金屬氧化的順序一層層上,所以,依照我以往讀握過的書,閃亮的金屬色試圖在最底下的,等到褐色、青銅色上完後,在用布小心地擦拭作品表面,將一層層漆料的漸層擦出來。但是金色油畫顏料實在太貴了,全塗滿只露出一小步部分實在不經濟,因此我在全部顏色上完後,僅在部分凸點以高密度海綿拍上金色。雖然金色會讓作品更像真銅,但是個人覺得這反而讓作品工藝感更重,略帶俗味。如果有人想嘗試建議一件作品1-2筆金漆重點潤飾便足夠。
創作補充/結語
就如以往的作品一樣,這件作品也有事先預設擺設的空間形式以及空間中的引導、指向功能,這樣的事先設定有助於將作品的軸線融入空間,以及觀賞者的位置,讓單一物體產生空間感。因為這是建築或空間設計的手法之一,以文字表達讀起來會有點玄,但其實只要畫張簡圖解釋就很容易懂了,不過下件作品再說吧。這件作品可能會在近期第八十三屆台陽美展於國父紀念館展出,有興趣的朋友歡迎前往觀賞。
